Mission "Resolute Support" will start on 1st January 2015. At the invitation of Afghan authorities NATO will continue the tasks of training, advising and assisting the Afghan National Security Forces.

The resolution signed by President Bronisław Komorowski says about deploying up to 150 soldiers and civilian employees of the armed forces. The main components of Polish Military Contingent are: staff assigned to the command of the mission and strategic level advisor in Kabul; command of Polish Military Contingent with support elements in Bagram and staff assigned to TAAC - East of "Resolute Support" mission with security platoon in Gamberi.

The personnel of Polish Military Contingent was deployed to Afghanistan before 1st January 2015 as earlier preparation, training and reaching full operational readiness in area of responsibility was necessary, including taking over advisory-training tasks from ISAF forces.

The staff of Polish Military Contingent, planned to be used in the mission, till 31st December of 2014 will be a part of Polish Military Contingent operating within ISAF mission on the basis of President's resolution dated 10th April 2014 on prolonging the use of Polish Military Contingent in Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.

Including into that contingent will not cause crossing the numbers limit defined in President's resolution.
